Molla Vermella (MP) Fig

Molla Vermella (MP) is a Spanish fig from the collection of Montserrat Pons. The fig originally hails from the island of Mallorca, where Pons discovered the fig growing on a farm called “are Granada.” Molla Vermella (MP) is a bifera variety that produces a breba crop in late June and a main crop starting at the end of August. The trees will grow mostly 3-lobed leaves with some spade leaves. The leaves have serrated edges and hairy undersides. Molla Vermella (MP) is a common variety not requiring wasp pollination.

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.

**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.

Rooted Cuttings(Spring):

We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
