Monstera adansonii, commonly called the Swiss Cheese Vine, is a small, dainty trailing and climbing plant with oval leaves punctuated by round to oval holes. This is not the same plant as our larger Monstera Deliciosa Swiss Cheese Plant. Monstera adansonii stays compact at 3 to 8 feet with support, while Monstera deliciosa is a much bigger plant with broad leaves that split almost to the midrib rather than showing round holes.
Trained on a small moss pole or left to trail from a hanging basket or shelf, this wide leaf form shows off its fenestrations at a fraction of the footprint of its bigger cousin.
