A beautifully displayed bridal veil dating from the late nineteenth century. The oval Napoleon III globe has preserved this vale that is adorned with symbolic decorations. The dove is a symbol of peace, while each of the diamond-shaped mirrors represents the number of children borne by the mother - they are added to the veil at the arrival of each child. The gold brass foliage includes vine leaves and flowers. Another similar piece also available separately.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
