A beautifully simple pair of Japanese secateurs – sharp, comfortable and perfect for everyday pruning around the garden.
Made in Sanjo, Japan, Niwaki Sentei Secateurs are drop-forged from S58 carbon steel, with a smooth spring action that makes them comfortable and satisfying to use. A simple locking catch at the base keeps them safely closed between jobs – and with a little practice, you can even flick it open with your little finger.
They’re a brilliant introduction to Japanese secateurs and ideal for light, everyday garden pruning, with a maximum cutting diameter of 7mm. For heavier pruning or long days of continuous use, a more heavy-duty pair of secateurs would be better suited.
Keep the blades clean and dry between uses, particularly after cutting sappy growth. Regular cleaning, sharpening and oiling will help keep them cutting smoothly and prolong the life of your secateurs.
