Tall Utah has dark green stalks and a very compact habit. It is a vigorous grower & is a popular green celery for late use. Celery mainly grows as a biennial plant - which means it typically grows best over a period of 2 years.

Tall Utah variety is taller and greener than the original variety. A better choice for short seasons than other varieties, it can be harvested at any stage. Celery leaves are also edible and tasty, and contain significant amounts of vitamin A.

Environment

Celery requires full sun, rich, loamy soil and heavy, consistent water and patience. Incorporate lots of organic matter into the soil to help hold moisture. Avoid overhead watering which can collect between the stalks and promote disease and pest problems.

Planting & Growing Instructions

• Sow seeds ¼ inch deep.
• Firm lightly and keep evenly moist.
• Seedlings are very small and may take up to 30 days to emerge.
