Organic Chia Sprouting Seeds are seeds of Salvia hispanica, a plant cultivated in the Americas for centuries. The dry seeds have a mild, nutty flavor and can be stirred into beverages, yogurt, oatmeal, or cereal, or added to baked goods. They may also be grown on a tray for sprouts or microgreens.
Sprouting Note: Chia is a mucilaginous seed that forms a gel when wet, so do not soak it or use the standard rinse-and-drain jar method.
