Persian Star hardneck organic garlic bulbs are a purple stripe variety with thick white wrappers that are streaked with purple nearer the centre of each bulb. The flavour is sweet and spicy with much less heat than others, and the sweetness is really enhanced when roasted. This heirloom variety is thought to have originated in Uzbekistan. It should store well easily for six months from harvest time.
