Philodendron Golden Saw

Philodendron Golden Saw is a relatively newer variety of Philodendron to be introduced to the house plant community. This particular house plant features softly serrated leaves that vary in color with tones ranging from bright green, light red and gold. Newer growth will appear orange and slowly fade into gold then green once the plant matures providing an interesting gradient throughout the plant's lifespan. This tropical aroid does best in warmer climates and should be kept away from colder areas and drafts. Like other rare aroids, Philodendron Giganteum Variegated will appreciate an environment that is richer in humidity, if possible. Philodendron tend to be mildly toxic and should be planted with care in households that have pets and children.

In the wild, Philodendron are fantastic climbers and will appreciate a sturdy moss pole to climb on and traverse. When provided with optimal conditions, Philodendron put out aerial roots that may be air-layered for safe propagation once mature. Pruning does not need to be frequent, but older leaves or foliage with visible damage can be removed to encourage new growth.
