The PHOTONTEK 50W Far-Red LED Bar is a highly specialized supplemental light designed to extend the full spectrum of PHOTONTEK's main X / XT series fixtures by adding crucial far-red photons in the 701–750 nm range. This targeted spectral addition is engineered to harness the Emerson Enhancement Effect, which significantly boosts overall photosynthetic efficiency and the plant's light energy conversion rate, leading to improved growth. With a total output of 155 µmol/s PPF and high efficacy of 3.1 µmol/J, this 50W bar promotes desirable plant morphology, encouraging stem elongation and leaf expansion during the vegetative stage, and can be used in the later stages to accelerate the final bloom phase.

The bar is designed for seamless, plug-and-play integration, featuring an integrated 50W driver and the ability to magnetically attach directly onto the frames of PHOTONTEK X / XT fixtures. It boasts a passive cooling design for silent operation and an IP65 rating for use in high-humidity environments. For commercial and large-scale grows, the fixture offers daisy-chain connectivity, allowing up to 18 units to be linked in series. It is recommended to integrate a minimum of two to three bars depending on the size of the main fixture (e.g., 2 bars for X 465W PRO, 3 bars for X 1000W PRO) to ensure the ideal 10–20% far-red ratio when mixed with the full-spectrum output.
