The Pilea Involucrata 'Pan Am' plant is a cultivar of Pilea Cadierei, a semi-succulent perennial. It is a small, easy to grow house plant that is a popular choice in terrarium displays due to its mounding growth pattern and love for humidity. It offers round, rippled leaves that are bronzed colored with light striping. It is a fast grower and can get leggy over time -- you may wish to propogate and root cuttings from the mother plant and fill in the bald areas with more foliage. This plant can thrive in low light conditions and has the added benefit of being pet friendly!
