Analysis and ingredients

The crumbled fertilizer supplies 7% nitrogen, 5% phosphate, 7% potash, and 4% calcium. It is derived from feather meal, meat and bone meal, and mined potassium sulfate. These materials release nutrients gradually as they break down in soil.

The 7-5-7 balance makes this a general pre-plant product, but it should still be matched to the soil rather than applied automatically. Different crops and planting sites can require substantially different nutrient amounts. A soil test can also show when phosphorus or potassium is already adequate, helping avoid unnecessary accumulation.

Application planning

• Vegetables and row crops: Published guidance is 2–3 lb per 100 sq ft or 400–800 lb per acre.
• Young trees: Published guidance is 1 lb for trees under four years old.
• Mature trees: Published guidance is 2–4 lb per tree.
• Placement: Incorporate before planting or distribute evenly as a measured top-dressing.

Use a soil test, crop requirements, and nutrients already supplied by compost or previous fertilizer to refine the rate. Avoid concentrating the product directly against roots, trunks, or stems. Store the closed bag in a dry location, limit dust during handling, and wash after working with animal-derived fertilizer.
