Rare Red Springtails are tiny decomposers, each less than half a centimeter in size, but they play an essential role in maintaining a healthy terrarium. In nature, they thrive in decaying organic matter. Inside your setup, they break down leaf litter, excess plant material, and even waste from other small animals. Once established, springtails reproduce naturally, providing both a self-sustaining cleanup crew.
By managing waste and organic build-up, springtails help balance your ecosystem and improve the overall health of your terrarium.
We offer 300ml cultures of red springtails, housed in charcoal substrate and already reproducing. Each culture contains around 15 springtails of mixed ages and sizes, along with a starter bag of food that lasts a few weeks.
