ReencleMicrobe™ : Compost Starter

ReencleMicrobe™ Compost Starter 1.0 is the microbe refill pack that restores a Reencle composter to like-new performance. It contains naturally sourced, self-perpetuating microbes — no chemical additives — and works with every Reencle model.

Why it works

• Salt-, acid- and heat-tolerant. The blend includes microbes that thrive in high salinity, microbes that thrive in acidity, and heat-loving thermophiles — so salty, sour and spicy food doesn’t stall decomposition.
• Breaks down almost everything. From fruit peel and eggshells to meat and dairy.
• Semi-permanent. The microbes regenerate themselves inside the Reencle, so there is no replacement schedule — you only add a fresh pack if the colony can’t recover on its own.

How to use it

1. Remove old microbes if replacing. Harvest or remove existing contents down to the MIN line.
2. Add the fresh pack. Pour in one pack of Compost Starter and add 50–60 oz of water.
3. Start it up. Power on and let the microbes activate — about 18 to 24 hours — before adding any food waste. Decomposition begins once the colony is active.

Tip: ramp up gradually so the colony can adapt — no more than 200–300 g of food waste per day for the first three days.

When do you need a new pack?

There is no fixed cycle. Keep the chamber moist and the colony keeps working. Add a fresh pack only if the microbes can’t recover — for example after the contents have fully liquified.
