Sedum ‘Atlantis’ - British Grown

Sedum ‘Atlantis’ is a striking, award-winning evergreen succulent that forms a neat carpet of fleshy, blue-green leaves edged with creamy-yellow margins. As the seasons change, the foliage develops attractive pink and red tints, providing year-round interest even when the plant is not in flower. Its compact, spreading habit makes it an excellent choice for rockeries, gravel gardens, alpine beds, containers and the front of sunny borders.

Origin
Cultivar of a species native to Ulleungdo Island, South Korea.

Pruning Tips
Remove faded flower stems after blooming if desired. Trim away any damaged or untidy foliage in spring to keep plants looking fresh. Divide established clumps every few years to maintain vigour.

Wildlife Value
The nectar-rich flowers are highly attractive to bees, hoverflies and other pollinating insects during summer.

Positioning
Thrives in full sun and will tolerate light partial shade, although the strongest foliage colour develops in a bright, sunny position.

Water
Water regularly while establishing. Once established, it is highly drought tolerant and only requires watering during prolonged periods of hot, dry weather or when grown in containers.

Prefers well-drained sandy, gritty or loamy soil. Avoid poorly drained or waterlogged conditions, particularly during winter.

Food
Feed lightly with a balanced fertiliser in spring. Rich soils and excessive feeding can lead to softer, less compact growth.
