Senecio Articulatus, also called Candle Plant, is a sculptural succulent from the Senecio genus in the Asteraceae family. Native to South Africa's dry, rocky regions, it evolved to store water in its distinctive segmented stems, making it an architectural indoor plant built for drought tolerance.
The pale blue-green, cylindrical stem segments stack end-to-end like melting candle wax, creating an unforgettable silhouette. Segments are smooth and slightly powdery to the touch, clustering upright into a sculptural mound as it matures. Small, lobed leaves occasionally appear at the growing tips.
