Sicilian 33 Fig

Sicilian 33 figs have very dark skin that is purple or black. Inside, the pulp is dark red and dense with good seed crunch. The figs are known for rich and bold flavors of berry and cherry. Sicilian 33 figs have both sweetness and acidity, making the flavor well-balanced. The skin is also tasty and good for eating. Growers like Sicilian 33 because the trees are productive and even young trees can produce a lot of fruit. This is a common variety, not requiring wasp pollination. Sicilian 33 may also be known by the name "Sicily 33".

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.

**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.

Rooted Cuttings(Spring):

We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
