Best planted in clusters, Sempervivum throw new offsets (chicks) each spring. Once a plant blooms, it dies, but the chicks carry on for future years, maturing and making their own offsets.
Plants shipped semi-bare root to reduce weight
Sunlight brings out bright colors in Sempervivums. When planted in shade or grown indoors away from a sunny window, many varieties tend to fade to a plain green color. It can take up to 3 years to develop the pictured colors.
Hardy Zones 4-9 or indoors
Indoors, Hens Chicks should be grown in a sunny window and watered when dry.
Easy to grow, the picture you see is of many "chicks" in the pot. You will receive 1 mama and will get chicks this spring.
