This unique small vide poche dish, crafted by Albert Thiry in the 1950s or 1960s, features a textured pattern impressed into the clay and a subtle green and earthy glaze. Known for his rustic and earthy aesthetic, Thiry was a prominent figure in mid-century French ceramics. Born in Nice in 1932, he moved to Vallauris, a hub for ceramic artists, where he established his own workshop with his wife Pyot in 1961. Thiry passed away in 2009, leaving behind a legacy of functional yet artistic ceramic works that capture the spirit of Vallauris craftsmanship.
