Small Vintage Castelnaudary Green-Glazed Ceramic Vase w/ Wavy Rim - 7½"

This is a late 19th-century vase with a charming handcrafted appeal, likely from Castelnaudary, as this form is often associated with pottery produced there. Its gently waisted body flares toward both the base and the distinctive undulating rim, while the simple incised decoration and sftly mottled emerald-green glaze are also characteristic of the local ceramic tradition. Light rubbing is visible around the rim and base, consistent with age and handling. The contrasting pale yellow interior glaze remains in good condition, allowing the piece to be used as a functional vase.

The flared shape and wavy rim give the vase plenty of character, while its simple decoration and deep green glaze retain the unpretentious charm of traditional country pottery.
