Snapdragon Tetra Mix

Snapdragon Tetra Mix is a colorful blend of red, white, pink, yellow and orange flowers that resemble the head of a dragon. Snapdragon flowers date back to the 1700s where they were grow in the Mediterranean region. Plants have a semi-compact growing habit and grow up to 28" tall. Snapdragon Tetra Mix is great for attracting bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects to the vegetable garden. Long stems make this a great cut flower variety. Snapdragons are known for their wonderful scent once harvested as cut flowers. Stems are best to cut when some of the flowers are unopened.

We recommend transplanting Snapdragon Tetra Mix for best results. This flower variety grows great in our heavy-duty seed starting trays with Black Gold Seed Starting Mix. Place 1-2 Seeds per cell and dust lightly with finely-ground seed starting mix. Once seedlings emerge, thin to one seed per cell. Transplants may be started a few weeks before the last frost date in spring, but can also be grown anytime throughout the warmer months. Transplants are ready to go in the ground when they can be easily pulled from the seed trays. Plants should be placed in the ground after the last frost date in spring or anytime during the spring, summer or early fall growing periods. For best results, prune or cut flowers as they bloom. This will ensure the production of continuous blooms throughout the growing season. This will also prevent the plants from reseeding if they are planted between rows in the vegetable garden.
