Grow your own Spinningtop Conebush with this easy seed kit. This Leucadendron belongs to the beautiful group known as the Silver Conebush group, admired for their elegant growth and striking foliage in the garden.
These plants grow into graceful shrubs of around 2.5 metres tall, bringing height, texture and year-round interest to fynbos gardens. Male plants produce many small narrow flower heads, while the female plants develop distinctive green cones with red-edged bracts that add colour and character.
Spinningtop Conebushes are highly adaptable and well suited to South African conditions. Their attractive foliage is also widely used in long-lasting cut flower arrangements, making them favourites among gardeners and florists.
The pack contains five Leucadendron seeds, along with Cape Seed Smoke Primer to help trigger germination by mimicking the natural post-fire conditions of the fynbos ecosystem. Seeds are best sown in autumn to follow the natural growing cycle of fynbos plants.
