Syngonium 'Green Splash'

Fresh, lively, and easy to grow, Syngonium ‘Green Splash’ is a vibrant arrowhead plant featuring soft green leaves splashed and speckled with darker green markings. Each leaf is unique, giving the plant a playful, dynamic look as it matures. Its compact, bushy growth habit makes it a lovely choice for desks, shelves, or trailing from a small hanging planter. As the plant matures, it can also climb if given a moss pole or support.

Origin
Native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, where Syngoniums naturally grow as climbing and trailing plants in the shaded understory.

Light
Prefers bright, indirect light. Tolerates medium light well, but brighter conditions bring out stronger variegation. Avoid harsh direct sunlight which can scorch the delicate leaves.

Water
Water when the top 2–4 cm of soil feels dry. Syngoniums like lightly moist soil during the growing season but prefer slightly drier conditions during winter.

Humidity
Thrives in moderate to high humidity. Regular misting, a pebble tray, or nearby houseplants will help maintain humidity, especially in heated rooms.

Soil
Use a light, well-draining potting mix – a blend of indoor compost with added perlite and a bit of bark or coir keeps roots happy.

Food
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertiliser. Reduce feeding in autumn and winter.

Temperature
Ideal temperatures are 18–26°C. Protect from draughts and keep away from cold windows in winter.

No – Syngonium species are toxic if ingested by pets and humans.
