Three stripped logs standing at different heights on a single stump. Three caps hollowed from the inside, each casting its own pool of warm light straight down. The outside of every cap stays solid and closed, showing turned grain and smooth curves. The inside tells a different story: concave wood reflecting LED light back toward the floor in a soft amber wash.
This is not a translucent lamp. The caps are thick, structural, fully opaque. Light only escapes downward through the open underside of each dome. The result is directional warmth rather than an all-over glow. Standing beneath the tallest cap, you get reading-level light. The two shorter caps fill in the mid-ground and low-ground, layering the room with graduated brightness that drops off naturally toward the edges.
Each stem is a stripped log with its bark removed but its surface character left intact. Grain lines run vertically. Knots interrupt the pattern where branches once grew. Hairline checks from natural drying add texture that catches side light from the caps above. No two stems share the same markings, and the height differences between them mean you see each one individually rather than as a repeated shape.
The base is a thick cross-section of tree stump, cut flat on top and bottom, with its original bark ring left on. Growth rings radiate from the center. The bark edge is rough, uneven, and varies in thickness around the circumference. It grounds the three stems visually and structurally, distributing weight across a wide footprint that stays stable on carpet or hardwood.
All three caps run on integrated LED modules with independent dimmers. Turn the tallest up for task lighting and keep the two shorter ones low for atmosphere. Or run all three at medium for even ambient coverage across a seating area. The hollow dome design means light stays contained, directed, and useful rather than scattered.
The cluster footprint stays compact. Three stems share one base roughly eighteen inches across. That gives you the visual presence of a sculptural floor piece in the same floor space as a single traditional lamp.
