Woodland Green Fig

Woodland Green figs are filled with bright red pulp with a berry flavor. Some have speculated that Woodland Green is an Adriatic type, although more growing is probably required to be certain. Woodland Green trees grow large figs and 5-lobed leaves with skinny fingers. Despite being discovered in California where the fig wasps fly, Woodland Green is a common fig. Adriatic figs tend to have less dramatic differences between caprified and uncaprified figs, so it is likely that growers without wasps would be able to produce similarly delicious Woodland Green figs.

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.

**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.

Rooted Cuttings(Spring):

We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
