Yellow Sunflower Flowers

The Good:  We love sunflowers because they are a classic wildflower and so rustic! Their heads are large, so it only takes a few in an arrangement. Pair them with some salidago and hydrangea in a mason jar, and boom, you're done!  For an alternate look, you can pluck off all the petals to show a brown center and green collar.

The Bad: They can be cumbersome to work with due to their weight and size.  They are also inflexible, stiff, and because they curve, their heads typically face sideways.

• Give the stems a fresh cut, and place in cool water. 
• Set in a sunny spot to encourage opening if sunflowers come closed

Sunflowers are considered a Filler Flower.  Based on our design suggestions here's our quantity recommendation:

1. Bridal Bouquet:  3-5 stems
2. Maids:  1-3 stems
3. Bouts:  N/A, too big
4. Corsages:  N/A, too big
5. Centerpieces:  3-5 stems
6. Large Arrangements:  10-15 Stems

Flower Moxie reserves the right to make changes or substitutions.  All substitutions are only done as a last resort, and only when the reasons for doing so are reasonable and genuine.  For example, if a flower becomes unavailable (off-crop),  incorrect color, or not in good condition to grace a wedding function we will substitute a flower that has a similar color and price-point.
