Automate your watering for under $100, no power required
The "Slim" in the name refers to the accessory package, not the tray. This is the exact same full-size Tray2Grow (43.9" x 16.1", 3.7 sq ft of growing area) with the same AQUAvalve5 gravity-fed valve, just without the reservoir, seed trays, capillary spikes, and microgreen accessories that come with the Standard Kit. If you already own a reservoir or want to buy one separately, the Slim gives you the core system for under $100. Place fabric pots, perforated pots, or seed trays on the capillary mat and let it bottom-feed each container exactly what it needs. No pumps, no timers, no electricity.

Capillary mat + root control sheet
The mat wicks water up from the tray into each pot evenly. The root control sheet sits on top to prevent roots from growing down into the mat and clogging it.
Works with fabric pots, plastic pots, seed trays, and microgreen trays
Any container with drainage holes or permeable walls works on this tray. Fabric pots, air pots, standard nursery pots, 1020 seed trays, and AutoPot microgreen trays all fit.
3.7 sq ft of growing area, fits a 4x2 tent or a wide windowsill
Tray dimensions are 43.9" long x 16.1" wide x 3.8" deep. Three guide holes per side accept garden canes for trellising.
Three embedded spirit levels for fast, accurate setup
The AQUAvalve5 needs a level surface to function correctly. Three built-in bubble levels let you verify alignment without a separate tool.

How the Tray2Grow Slim works
Level the tray and connect your reservoir
Place the tray on a flat surface and use the three embedded spirit levels to verify it's even. Run the included 3/8" pipe from your reservoir (sold separately) to the tray's inlet grommet.
Lay the capillary mat and root control sheet
Place the capillary sheet flat in the tray, then lay the root control sheet on top. The mat wicks water up, and the root sheet prevents roots from growing into it.
Set your pots on the tray
Place any pots with drainage holes directly on the root control sheet. Fabric pots, air pots, nursery pots, and seed trays all work. The system handles up to the full 3.7 sq ft of tray space.
Fill the reservoir and walk away
The AQUAvalve5 fills the tray when it dries and stops when water reaches the valve's shutoff point. Refill your reservoir as needed. That's the only maintenance.
