Encarsia formosa and Eretmocerus eremicus hanger cards provide growers with a dual-action biological control solution against multiple whitefly species. Each card contains a balanced mix of parasitoid wasps that target greenhouse, sweet potato, and silverleaf whiteflies, delivering sustainable, chemical-free protection. Easy to hang and replace, these cards support long-term integrated pest management (IPM) in greenhouses, nurseries, hydroponic systems, and outdoor crops.

How It Works

• Encarsia formosa parasitizes greenhouse whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum) by laying eggs inside nymphs, which turn into blackened “mummies.”

• Eretmocerus eremicus parasitizes sweet potato whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) and silverleaf whitefly (Bemisia argentifolii) by laying eggs beneath nymphs. The larvae burrow in and consume the host.

• Both species also feed directly on whitefly nymphs, increasing mortality rates beyond parasitism.
