Iranian Kan White Fig

Iranian Kan White figs grow either medium or large in size. They have a honey flavor and a smooth texture that makes them a delight to eat. The trees are vigorous growers and mature trees are highly productive. Iranian Kan White is a cold hardy variety that can withstand overwintering outdoors. The trees produce a breba and a main crop, with the main crop ripening in the fall. Iranian Kan White is named for the city of Kan, Iran from which this variety originates.

The figs have a squat shape and curved sides, almost like the curves of an apple. These curves create a unique eye at the base of the fig that is wider and longer than usual. The eye on Iranian Kan White can sometimes look like a toothy mouth–like something out of Little Shop of Horrors! Eyes and mouths aside, Iranian Kan White is a beautiful fig with bright green color and light amber pulp.

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.

**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.

Rooted Cuttings(Spring):

We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
