The Soil Blocker Mini 5 produces 5 x 3.8 cm (1.5 inch) soil blocks. It comes with Seed Pins that create indentations for small seeds. 3.8 cm (1.5 inch) soil blocks are best for small, quick growing seedlings that will be directly transplanted.
Soil Blockers are a fantastic tool for market growers and gardeners who want to eliminate the use of plastic in the growing process. Growing seedlings in soil blocks also allow their roots better access to oxygen and prevents them from being rootbound. Simply push the soil blocker into a wet soil mix and squeeze the handle to make soil blocks.
*The pins in the Mini 5 are removable and can be interchanged with Dowel Pin Inserts (sold separately). The Ladbrooke Mini 5 makes soil blocks that are too small to use with the Cube Inserts for "potting up" soil blocks from the Ladbrooke Micro 20. If you want to use the Cube Inserts to "pot up" Micro 20 soil blocks, you will need the Mini 4 soil blocker.
