Is this cork bark natural and safe for my terrarium?
Yes, 100% natural Portuguese cork, heat-treated, no dyes, coatings or added chemicals.

Will every piece look the same?
No two pieces are identical, natural colour, shape and texture vary, which is part of the appeal for a natural terrarium build.

Is a little mould normal after setup?
A little surface mould when your terrarium first cycles is normal for natural materials and usually clears on its own once your bioactive ecosystem settles in. If you'd prefer to remove it beforehand, simply wipe the area with the green, non-scratch side of a kitchen sponge (e.g. Scotch-Brite) under warm water, no soap or chemicals needed.

What's the difference between the Small and Medium pieces?
Small pieces are 5-8cm diameter with height of 5 cm, Medium are 8-12cm diameter with height of 10 cm. Mix and match with our Variety Pack to get a range of sizes for building varied terrain. Please note all sizes are aproximate.
