Peaceful Valley Micro Clover

Peaceful Valley Micro Clover (Trifolium repens ‘Abarace’) is a dwarf white clover selected for low-growing lawns, lawn mixes, and permanent ground cover. Its leaves are smaller than standard white clover, and unmowed plants generally reach about 6 inches. Sow it alone as a lawn alternative or overseed it into existing turf to add a mowable legume that fixes atmospheric nitrogen and can help the planting stay green with less supplemental water once established.

The seed is clay-coated with Nitro-Coat Organic and includes a compatible Rhizobium inoculant to support establishment and nodulation. The coating is approved for organic production, but the seed itself is not certified organic. No additional inoculant is normally needed. Coated seed is not intended for food or feed.

Plant in spring or fall into a firm, weed-free seedbed when soil temperatures are approximately 55–75°F. Sow 1–2 lb per 1,000 sq ft for a new micro-clover lawn or ½–1 lb per 1,000 sq ft when overseeding existing turf. Cover seed ⅛–¼ inch deep and keep the surface consistently moist for the first 2–3 weeks. Germination generally takes 14–21 days. After establishment, mow at 3 inches or higher. Nitrogen contribution varies with nodulation, soil, moisture, and management.
