This exceptional barbotine bowl dates from the nineteenth-century. Attributed to Achille Barbizet. The bowl has two handles in the shape of snakes with a lady's face either side. A collector's item. There are some splits in the snakes which is a result of the firing process - see photos.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
