Tomatillo, Amethyst & Emerald Geodes (10 seeds)

75 Days. Striking, open-pollinated tomatillo with a mix of jewel-toned fruit in shades of deep amethyst purple and bright emerald green. Medium-sized fruit have a tangy-sweet flavour that intensifies when fully ripe, excellent for fresh salsas, roasting, or stewing. Productive plants yield heavily over a long season and thrive in full sun and rich, well-drained soil. Support plants with stakes or cages to keep fruit clean. Sow indoors in early spring and transplant after frost. Sow 5 mm deep, 45–60 cm apart. Germinates in 7–14 days. Harvest when husks split and colour is fully developed.

Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost; transplant outdoors after the threat of frost has passed. For best results, plant more than one for cross-pollination.
